We are excited to welcome you on behalf of the High School Counseling Department. Whether you are a returning student or new to our community, we are here to support you every step of the way during your high school journey!
At BSHS, we believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that encourages academic growth, personal development, and college and career readiness. School counseling plays a crucial role in supporting success for all students. The Counselors at BSHS help students navigate the challenges of adolescence, manage stress, and build self-confidence, all while guiding them through important academic and career decisions. They provide a safe, confidential space for all students to express their concerns and receive support, whether it's related to personal issues, peer relationships, or future planning. By addressing both immediate needs and long-term goals, our school counselors contribute significantly to students' overall well-being and success, helping them stay on track for graduation and prepare for life beyond high school.
Academic Support – Helping students set goals, stay organized, and achieve their best in the classroom.
Social & Emotional Development – Providing a space where students can be heard, understood, and supported through the ups and downs of high school life.
College & Career Planning – Assisting students with identifying their post-secondary paths, from college applications to vocational options and everything in between.
We work closely with students, families, teachers, and administrators to ensure each student has the tools and resources they need to thrive. Throughout the year, we offer one-on-one counseling sessions, group sessions, and various events to engage and inform our school community.
