About Madame Bailey...
  • Mrs. Bailey is a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill, PA.
  • Mrs. Bailey spent a semester abroad in Chambéry, France in 2003.

  • Mrs. Bailey received a Bachelor of Arts in French Education from Virginia Tech in 2004. 

  • Mrs. Bailey began teaching at Boiling Spring High School in August 2004.

  • Mrs. Bailey completed her Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State University in the summer of 2009.

  • Mrs. Bailey received her National Board Certification in the fall of 2011 and renewed it again in 2021.  This national certification requires significant work and reflection on the practice of teaching and is held by less than 3% of teachers nationwide.

  • Mrs. Bailey has led six student trips to France (2006, 2008, 2010, 2016, 2018, 2022) and has personally been to France nine times.  Her next trip to England, France, and Spain (a collaborative effort with Mrs. Slentz) is scheduled for June 2024. 

  • Mrs. Bailey has been married since 2006 and has two sons. Mr. Bailey and her sons are now learning French together. 

  • Mrs. Bailey loves reading, doing puzzles, playing games/cards, and learning new things.  She recently began learning Spanish using the Duolingo app.  

  • Mrs. Bailey loves animals. She has a labradoodle named Izzy and a cat named Jack.
  • Mrs. Bailey serves as the World Language Department Chair.  She also advises Le Cercle Français and La Société Honoraire de Français (see side navigation bar for more information on how to become part of these French organizations).

  • Mrs. Bailey is a co-advisor for the BSHS Class of 2024.
